Theory and practice of legal responsibility for the information sector offences

On June 8, 2016 representatives of PO ICIPM took part in a scientific-practical conference on "Theory and practice of legal responsibility for the offense in the information sector". The conference was organized by the Research Institute for Informatics and Law of NALS of Ukraine together with the Interdepartmental Research Center for combating the organized crime at NSDC of Ukraine, Kyiv Research Institute of forensic examination of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and NTU "KPI".

Many important issues were raised during the conference, including the information security in Ukraine, legal entity status offenses committed in the information sector, criminal liability for such offenses, and separate issues regarding the ways of combating cybercrimes.

Among the participants were: Petrov Valentin Vladimirovich, the Head of the Office for Information Security of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine; Seletsky Petro Ivanovich, the Chief Consultant of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Freedom of Speech and Information Polic; Pilipchuk Volodymyr Hryhorovych, the director of the Research Institute for Informatics and Law of NALS of Ukraine; representatives of the State University "Yaroslav the Wise Law Academy of Ukraine", Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs, Vasyl Stefanyk Subcarpathian National University, Transnistrian cyberpolice administration of the Department of cyberpolice of the National Police of Ukraine and many others.
